In short
- We count visits without cookies and without identifying you.
- If you sign up for the weekly brief, we keep your email address to send it, and you can leave with one click.
- If you use the contact form, we keep your message so we can reply.
- Pages that show share prices load them from TradingView, whose own privacy policy applies to that part of the page.
- We never sell or share your details with advertisers.
Counting visits
We count visits with Umami, an analytics service that uses no cookies and does not identify individual visitors. It tells us which pages are read and which links are followed, never who read them. Searches you type are used to show results and are not stored with anything about you.
The weekly brief
When you sign up, we save your email address as pending and send you a link to confirm it. Only confirmed addresses get the brief. Emails are sent through Resend, our email provider. Every brief has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails at once.
The contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are saved with the name, email address and organization you give, so we can read them and reply. To stop the form being flooded, we briefly keep a count of messages from each internet address in memory; it is not saved.
Share prices from TradingView
Our AI stocks pages and the homepage show delayed share prices in widgets provided by TradingView. Those widgets load from TradingView's servers, so TradingView receives your browser's request for them and may set its own cookies. TradingView's policies apply to that part of the page. If your browser blocks TradingView, the pages show a plain list of the same companies instead.
Links to other sites
Nearly everything here links to its source: a paper, a test, a company page, a regulator. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
